Listeners have been blessed with a new party anthem from Yung Guapo, who never seems to miss. "I came up from nothing, now I'm flexing." The tracks features a house party-inspired music video where Guapo is seen chilling in a hotel, dancing with women and flexing his rockstar belt and FAT chains.
This is what we mean when we talk about a diverse lineup. Mimo gives a much-needed change of pace, setting the tone for a more introspective, sensitive and authentic experience. "There's something in the way you move, realising that I've got a lot to lose." The song embodies love in its purest form.
Aaannd we're switching it up again. On a complete 180° from #4, 'Queen Of The Night' sports the grittiest, crunchiest synth/bass combo underneath Saifey and Txnski's butter-smooth vocal layers. It's difficult to pinpoint an exact genre but the track balances hyperwave, underground hip/hop and rage.
'One Love' sounds (and feels) exactly like the cover photo. Volleyball on the beach at a warm sunset. GSteez sets the tone, coming in with his signature vocal cadence and classy lyricism. His chorus lines up Kiid Koda's verse perfectly, and Koda carries the second half of the song on his back. Elite collaboration.
It's bubbly, it's fun, it's sensual - it's Back For More. J Verse certainly understands how to blend that elegant, soft subject matter with a funky instrumental that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's fun to the point of being infectious but in-the-pocket enough to carry real emotional depth. It has genuine replay value.

Yet another heater pulled from 'Long Days, Longer Nights,' GSteez teams up with rapper/producer Enzo Getta to deliver this staunch - yet equally vibey collaboration. "I ain't coming for a little, want the whole thing. Yeah, that's just how it is my n*gga." Also, that Don Toliver-esque outro goes crazy.
Following the success of her foregoing release 'Sober', Taahliya returns to your headphones with an acoustic guitar, a calm, mature tone and the most beautiful vocals you've likely ever heard. "Finally I'm breathing clearly, searching for a higher self. I got no more tears left in me, no more crying out for help."
Alright, that's enough - you've had your breather. 'ME' transports you into the heart of Gotham City and slaps you in the face before stealing your wallet. "Now it's way too many empty seats in my limousine." Hundo's silky cadence sits nicely over this floaty, NY Drill-type beat. It's wavy, but it's also vicious.
"Can't believe my n*gga gone. Put my pain into lyrics, I got a pen and wrote a song. I was taught to do right, but I grew up doing wrong. You told me I was gonna' make it, lil' bro you goin' far. So now for Dotty ima' go and be a star - that's on me and that's on bro." What a beautiful way to grieve. Music transcends sound.
I legitimately cannot get enough of this song. Top to bottom, back to front, side to side it's a hit. Zoo's lyrics are just in that pocket - especially that 'in these hills, we riding' bar. It's simple by choice, it makes me feel like driving down Beach Road in my convertible. I love driving down Beach Road in my convertible.
